About Magical Vision Tarot™

W
e all get Magical Visions in our lives, whether we notice them or not. They can be small things, or they can be big things, that touch our lives on a deep significant level. For me, one Magical Vision was the world of Tarot reading.

I got hints from different people that entered my life, also very straightforwardly saying “You should paint your own Tarot cards.” and “Your artwork would fit so well on Tarot cards”. At that point, I had never even touched a Tarot deck, not knowing the first thing about Tarot reading and what it was all about. After bumping into Tarot on various occasions for years, I finally bought myself my very own tarot deck.

For me, Tarot is meditation through images. All the answers to my questions are already in me, just waiting to be found. As an artist whose greatest passions in life are most of the time very visual, tarot is truly a great gift that provokes new thoughts and brings out the answers. I started painting my very own deck in the fall of 2008. I proceeded with the painting process very randomly, again relying on my “gut feeling” and begun working on the card that spoke to me the most that very moment.

I feel only like a tool that a greater, creative force uses, to get its message through to this world, images on paper. I practice my craft on a daily basis and only hope to get better in time, so I humbly give out my thanks to the muse that gave me the gift of art and ideas to create this deck for all of you to see. I really hope it will be finished one day (of course hopefully very soon since I'm always so impatient!).

This is also a personal learning process for me, but I hope that in the end, the deck will be clearly readable and will turn out to be more than "just a pretty deck" among others. Hopefully one day Magical Vision Tarot will also be published and available for everyone who's interested. Keep your fingers crossed and may the journey begin!

Love & light,
Linda
